I know what you might be thinking. It’s a 12 week meal plan that’s so good you’ll never be hungry again. Well, I’d like to tell you that for a number of reasons. First, the meal plans I put together are so simple, easy, and packed with nourishing foods I’ve never eaten before that I’m going to be super-full for all 12 weeks.
This meal plan has been used and modified countless times over the years by countless people. I have found it to be super effective for me in keeping me hydrated and satisfied. I also use it because it keeps me on track with the things I need to do so I can manage to eat every day and be fully present for all my workouts.
My meal plan is pretty much the same every single day of the week, except the meals that I have with my workout buddies are usually different. In fact, on a couple of my workouts, I have two meal plans that are nearly identical, just one of them is a “cheat meal.” That meal is usually fruit, a snack, or a meal that I’m supposed to have in the morning, so that I can get my energy up for my workout.
It’s not at all surprising that our own diet is so much more varied than the average American diet. The vast majority of American people are eating breakfast or lunch – though some of the typical people are still eating cereal and pizza and pasta, while the rest – like me – are eating breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The more breakfast you eat, the more you get in or out of it.
The problem isn’t eating. The problem is not eating enough. The problem is so many of us don’t eat enough, we are literally starving ourselves. Our American diet is based on a high-fiber, high-calorie, high-carbohydrate, high-sodium, high-fat, low-protein, low-dairy diet.
The problem is not the high-calorie. We don’t need to go that route, we can go low-calorie if that’s what we want to do. We can go low-carb, too, but that’s not the issue. The issue is, we don’t eat enough and we don’t have the right amount of protein/fat/sugar/carb. The problem is, when you eat enough carbs and protein, it just doesn’t feel good.
The problem is, how much protein and fat you eat, how much fiber you eat, and how much carbs you eat all have to match up. When you eat enough carbs and protein, you have that little extra energy that comes with them. We should all be eating plenty of fiber and protein. The problem is, without enough fiber and protein, we dont feel like ourselves. We dont feel like we’re eating enough, or that we’re doing enough.
How much fiber and protein do we need? That’s a tough question to answer. We should all be eating plenty of fiber because we need fiber. We need it because we’re all so busy being alive that we forget we’re being alive. Fiber is the stuff that allows us to “tidy up” our guts and keep our guts tidy.
In fact, the problem is a lot more complicated than that. When I eat more fiber, I feel lighter, and when I eat more protein, I feel stronger. This is because fiber helps to clean out our gut and keep our gut clean. It helps to keep our gut clean for good reason.
But a lot of folks don’t realize that fiber and protein are just the tip of the iceberg. Fiber is a form of fat. And fat builds up in our body and it is not good for us. So when we eat too much of fiber and too much of protein, the liver can’t handle all the fat and it breaks down and that’s why we feel fat. We also can end up getting sick if we eat too much fat.
