I am a self-proclaimed “liver lover,” so I’m always on the lookout for the lowest-down-the-food-chain, most-nutrient foods. I have found that when I add one of these foods to my diet, it helps my digestion. I’m especially excited to add a healthy green superfood, kale, to my diet in the future.
Kale is one of the oldest superfoods on the planet, and there’s evidence that it helps with digestion. It’s also one of the least expensive. In addition, it contains vitamins, antioxidants, and fiber. So how’s that for an unusual combination? And it’s certainly not a superfood for everyone. Though, the reason I have you here, of course.
The diet after stent seems to be more for me because I also take some antibiotics. Though I’m not on these anymore, I still take them for other digestive issues. My stents are mostly for the same reason, they act as a bulking agent for your body and help with gas and bloating. I’ve found that I feel best when I’m on the keto diet for a couple weeks of the year.
Its not just a matter of weight loss though. When we get on the keto diet, the body switches to burning glucose for energy, not fat. Which explains why people who are on the keto diet are so fat and so thin. What’s interesting about keto is the fact that it doesn’t cause the body to be deprived of any nutrients, but rather on the other hand, is a starvation diet.
Ive had some bile duct surgery about three years ago and I have not been on a keto diet or similar for a couple months. However, I think its important to mention that eating a ketogenic diet is not the same as being in ketosis. Ketosis is when your body burns glucose, but when you eat a high fat diet, your body switches to burning fat for energy instead of glucose.
In a ketogenic diet, your body becomes less energy hungry, and fat is the most important calorie source. This means that your body will burn a lot of calories when it is deprived of the necessary nutrients.
The keto diet is definitely a way to lose weight, but it is not a long term solution to your health problem. As long as you are not in ketosis, your body will be very vulnerable to malnutrition. If you are still dealing with the pain and pain medication after the bile duct stent, it might be worth the risk to try a keto diet.
Here we are, getting to know this much more, and the whole “how to get your fat free” thing. I’m not sure if I can say it’s a good thing or not, but there’s a good chance that I will be talking about this briefly.
The ketogenic diet is basically an adaptation of the keto diet, but without the fasting. The diet is similar to a normal low-carb diet in that it restricts your carbohydrate intake to less than 30 grams per day. You can also include a bit of protein in your diet, and there is a lower risk for kidney issues and cardiovascular disease.
The keto diet has been around since the 1980s, and I’ve always thought that it would have a big impact on obesity, but we haven’t seen much evidence of that yet. The ketogenic diet is a very specific diet that allows you to metabolize fat while keeping glucose levels low. In order to do this, you have to restrict your carbohydrate intake to less than 20 grams per day.
